Late afternoon coming down from a hike to a high mountain lake in Wyoming. It was already starting to cool down, but the sun still felt warm and it was super-saturating all of the greens from the grass. Obviously it’s more of a rock field than a meadow, but it still makes me feel like I could just walk over and lay down, feel the coolness of the air squeezing up from the grass, and let the sun kiss me all up and down my body. My shoes come off and I wiggle my toes, man it feels good. Then I start to unbutton my… Ok it’s getting too hot. Plus, I have another 4 miles to walk to the truck.
